How are AdTRUE Tradedesk, the SSP and Screen CMS different?

Platform & products

AdTRUE Tradedesk is the buying side: campaign planning, inventory selection and reporting. The SSP connects media-owner inventory to buying demand. Screen CMS is the operations side: players, media, playlists, schedules and playback monitoring. The right setup depends on whether you buy media, sell inventory or run screens.

What can I buy through AdTRUE Global?

Advertisers & agencies

Our current media offering focuses on programmatic digital out-of-home and retail media, including screens in supermarkets, malls, dining venues and outdoor locations. Start with the inventory explorer to understand coverage, then confirm the available placements and dates for your campaign.

Should I choose self-serve or a managed campaign?

Advertisers & agencies

Self-serve suits a team that wants to work in AdTRUE Tradedesk and manage its own campaign decisions. With managed services, our team helps plan and operate the campaign against an agreed brief. Choose based on your team’s experience, available time and the support you need.

What should I include in my campaign brief?

Advertisers & agencies

Include the objective, target audience, locations, flight dates, budget range and available creative. State how you want to evaluate success, such as delivery, reach estimates or a separately scoped measurement study. This helps us recommend relevant venues and identify any preparation needed before launch.

Can I target particular cities, venues or times of day?

Advertisers & agencies

Campaign planning can focus on locations, venue types and schedules. The available selection depends on the inventory and buying arrangement. The public inventory map shows estimated coverage; it does not reserve screens or guarantee availability for a particular flight.

What creative files do I need?

Advertisers & agencies

Prepare artwork or video for the selected screens. Orientation, resolution, file format and spot length can differ between a portrait kiosk, a landscape display and an outdoor LED. Confirm the placement specifications before production, allow for venue approval, and check that text is readable at the viewing distance.

Can I change a campaign after it starts?

Advertisers & agencies

Budget, schedule, placement and creative changes depend on the booking terms, remaining availability and approval requirements. Review the effect on delivery before applying a change in self-serve, or send it to your campaign contact for a managed flight. Do not assume a change is active until its status is confirmed.

What do I need to connect my screen network?

Media owners

Prepare a screen list with venue locations, screen dimensions and orientation, player details, connectivity and your existing content workflow. Onboarding checks the integration and inventory information, then validates playback and reporting before a wider rollout. Timing depends on network readiness and project scope.

For media owners

Can I keep my existing screens and players?

Media owners

Existing hardware may be suitable, but compatibility needs to be checked. Share the display and player models, operating system, connectivity and any current CMS integration. We can then identify what can be reused and what needs configuration, integration or replacement.

What can my operations team manage in Screen CMS?

Media owners

Screen CMS brings media libraries, playlists, schedules, device monitoring and play logs into one console. Remote controls depend on the connected player and supported device capabilities. Use monitoring and playback records to investigate screens that are offline or content that has not played as expected.

Can direct sales and programmatic demand work together?

Media owners

Yes. The media-owner offering supports direct and programmatic buying arrangements. Agree how reserved inventory, schedules, pricing and advertiser restrictions should work during onboarding. Demand access depends on the integrations and commercial arrangements enabled for your network.

How does retail media fit into my store or mall?

Retailers

Retail media connects brands with shoppers through placements around the shopping journey, such as entrances, aisles and checkout areas. Start with the customer experience, available spaces and store operations. The media plan should specify where content appears and how delivery and any agreed outcomes will be measured.

What is TRUE Retail AI OS?

Retailers

TRUE Retail AI OS brings together retail media and the technology behind in-venue touchpoints: screen operations, wayfinding, product sampling and measurement. A rollout can focus on the parts your venue needs, with responsibilities, integrations and reporting agreed before implementation.

What do I need to launch Indoor Map?

Retailers

Prepare floor plans, store and facility information, and the position of each kiosk. Indoor Map uses that venue information for destination search and routes from the kiosk, including changes of level. Assign someone to keep store listings and map information current as the venue changes.

How does a shopper collect a product sample?

Retailers

The shopper scans a QR code on a screen or printed material, claims a code in a mobile browser and presents it at the collection point. Staff validate the single-use code before handing over the sample. The campaign needs sample stock, trained staff, collection instructions and a clear feedback flow.

What is the difference between proof-of-play and impressions?

Measurement & data

Proof-of-play records a creative playing on a screen at a particular time. Impressions estimate audience exposure using the measurement method available for that inventory. A play does not establish how many people saw or noticed the ad, so playback records and audience estimates should be read separately.

Can a campaign report prove sales or footfall lift?

Measurement & data

Delivery reporting alone does not prove incremental sales or visits. A lift study needs an agreed method, suitable data, a comparison approach and enough observation time. Discuss measurement before launch so the campaign and study can be designed together; available data determines what can be reported.

Talk to our team

Do I need shopper-level data to run a campaign?

Measurement & data

Not for a plan based on locations, venue types and schedules. If the project uses retailer audiences, sample claims or other first-party data, define the necessary fields, purpose, access and reporting scope first. The data requirements depend on the specific activation and measurement setup.

Explore Retail Media

How do we agree data access, storage and retention?

Measurement & data

Review the data involved in your project before connecting systems or collecting shopper information. The implementation should define who can access it, where it is processed, how long it is retained and how deletion is handled. Ask our team for the documentation applicable to your deployment.

Talk to our team

How do I get access or request a demo?

Getting started & billing

Contact us with your company, role and the product you want to explore. For a campaign, include locations, dates and a budget range. For a venue project, include the number of sites or screens and your current setup. We can then arrange a relevant walkthrough and discuss access.

Talk to our team

Is there a minimum budget, and what does pricing include?

Getting started & billing

Budget requirements and pricing depend on the media, service model and product scope. Ask for a quote that separates media spend, platform or service fees, and any implementation, hardware or measurement work. Confirm the minimum commitment and applicable taxes before approving the project.

Talk to our team

How long does it take to launch?

Getting started & billing

Launch timing depends on account setup, inventory availability, creative approval and any technical integration. Venue projects also need hardware readiness and content or map data. Agree the milestones and responsibilities after those requirements are checked, rather than relying on a single timeline for every project.

Talk to our team

How are billing, payment and changes agreed?

Getting started & billing

The quotation, order or service agreement should specify the billing entity, currency, payment schedule and term. It should also explain cancellation, campaign changes and how delivery differences are reconciled. Media-owner settlement terms are agreed separately for the network’s commercial arrangement.

Talk to our team

What should I send when reporting a problem?

Getting started & billing

Include the affected campaign or screen, venue, approximate time and time zone, what you expected and what happened. Add a screenshot or relevant playback record where available, but leave out passwords and private shopper information. Use your agreed support contact, or contact our team to be directed to the right person.
